After continuous research in Europe, America, Japan and our country, there are various formulas. Here are a few common artificial seawater formulations, just for reference:

（1）Mocledon seawater formula: Salinity 33.4‰, Chlorine 19‰, most suitable for breeding marine ornamental fish.

（2）Schleicher and Schal method: Salinity 35‰, suitable for marine fish farming.

（3）Backhous seawater formula: The German Frankfurt Aquarium uses this formula to prepare artificial seawater to raise various fish collected from the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea, and some even spawn in artificial seawater.

Good artificial seawater has the following four characteristics:

（1）The formula is simple, and meets the needs of animals and plants, and the concentration is appropriate;

（2）The concentration and proportion of main ions are similar to natural seawater;

（3）The salt in the formula dissolves quickly and is not easy to precipitate;

（4）The amount of elements contained is easy to calculate and easy to mix.
